In this scoping review based on 50 studies, the anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin for people with osteoarthritis were highlighted. Importantly, it was found that curcumin not only lowers inflammation in the joints safely, but it supports collagen production and "chondrocyte proliferation", meaning the production of new cartilage cells.
